Antique 19th Century Royal Vienna Porcelain Goat With Putti
This is a beautiful example of early Royal Vienna. This is a 19th century porcelain grouping of three frolicking putti wrestling with a goat. One putti is on top of the goat's back while another is on his back holding the goat's horns. The third putti is wrapping a garland of fruit and foliage around the goat's neck. This piece is signed partially under glaze with the beehive or shield mark in blue. This is an early 19th century piece produced while Royal Vienna was Royalty owned and used the beehive also known as shield mark as authentic Royal Vienna porcelain. This lovely example measures 8 1/4 " at the tallest point by 12 1/2" at the widest point and the base being 5 1/2 " deep. The soft colors of this piece are exquisite and the facial expressions are detailed. It weighs 4 1/2 lbs and is in excellent condition.
