Beautiful Circa 1911 Scenic Nippon Vase
This is a very attractive antique Nippon Vase. It is signed Hand Painted Nippon with the Green Wreath and M in the middle. The M stands for Morimura Bros. who were the importers during this period. The vase is Circa 1911 and beautifully hand painted with an overall woodland scenic design in very rich and subtle colors. The vase has a bulbous shape with a very unique neck that curves upwards with accent tendrils flowing downward on each side. The top section of the vase is painted in a very flowing naturalistic Art Nouveau design. The vase measures 8 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches across the widest part of the body of the vase and weighs 3/4 lb. This lovely early example of Nippon is in excellent original condition.
