Each earring has an almost translucent pale lavender oval with a cream colored carved hard stone female figure in a flowing gown with arms outstretched with an bowl offering to the gods. They are mirror opposites of each other and set in ornate gold frames with a ribbon design at the top of the oval with an accent pearl. They are hinged to the top section which is also a gold oval and set with an accent pearl. There is a lot of movement to the earrings which add to their appearance. They measure 1 1/2 inches in length and 3/4 inch in width. They are in excellent original condition with a tiny imperfection in the making at the very bottom of one earring which is only visible when seen thru a loop. Earrings of this age and quality are rare and a fine example of an elegant bygone past.
