Magnificent Circa 1900 Art Nouveau 14K Enameled Double Locket Necklace
This is a superb example of the Art Nouveau Period. It is an absolutely beautiful Circa 1900 gold enameled double locket. The design is a combination of both 12K and 14K yellow gold. The enameling on the locket and chain is a deep blue with an iridescent ice quality. The locket has an exquisite leaf design in gold which surrounds the enameled center with an accent pearl in the middle. The locket has a gold enameled drop also accented with a pearl as well as one on each side of the chain. The chain measures 18 1/2" long with the clasp. The locket measures 1 1/4" in diameter and 2 3/4" from the bale to the bottom of the drop. The inside is in pristine condition with the original glass and gold inserts that hold the pictures in the locket. The locket closes crisp and clean. Considering the age of this piece it is in amazing excellent original condition. This is without a doubt the most beautiful locket we have had the privilege to offer from the elegant bygone Art Nouveau Era.
