Rare 19th Century Royal Doulton Drinking Mug
This is a great early Circa 1800's Royal Doulton drinking cup or mug. I love the inscription on this mug, " Of all sad Deaths the very worst Is that which comes of burning thirst." It measures 4" tall and 3" across the base with a 2 5/8" opening at the top. It is fully signed on the base, J. Mc D & S Co, Boston, and in an incised logo, Doulton Lambeth, England with the incised numbers 5761, please refer to photos. This lovely antique mug is in excellent original condition and would make a great gift to a pottery or Royal Doulton collector.
