Rare Antique Victorian Cast Iron Harness Racing Toy
This is a rare and exceptional cast iron Victorian Era harness racing toy. The driver is removable and it measures 7 3/4" long by 4" at the widest part of the wheels and 4 1/4" tall to the top of the driver's hat. It weighs slightly over 1 lb and is in excellent condition. I can find no maker's marks on this toy. It would appear that it might be possible that at some point in time the paint has been retouched, I am not sure, but if that is the case it was done many years ago. There is no damage or missing parts, it is complete and original. This is an amazing and rare antique cast iron toy that would appeal to the racing enthusiast.
