Vintage Alaska Inuit Fetish Necklace

This is a fine example of vintage native Alaskan Inuit Art. It is a beautiful bovine bone fetish necklace. It is comprised of 69 small and 1 large carving. The 69 carvings comprise a myriad of animals including owls, bears, fish, fox, etc. The larger carving includes two faces appearing to be that of an adult female and child. The carvings are well executed and the necklace measures 17 1/2 inches in length from top to the bottom of the large fetish which is 2 1/2 inches long. This fetish necklace is an intriguing and integral part of native Alaskan Inuit life and is in excellent original condition.
